"This is what the Lord says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, and ask where the good way is, and walk in it. You will find rest for your soul."

Made In America

How has America managed to become such a successful nation? As history goes, we're still a young country, practically babies. How did we get to be so strong and successful in just over 200 years? Well, I believe it's because, first and foremost, our country has been blessed. It is clear that long ago, perhaps as early as the pilgrims landing on Plymouth Rock, maybe even sooner, God determined to bless America.
And, if you think about it , since that time America has certainly had its share of ups and downs, but in the end we have always come out on top, and that's no accident, we have been blessed by Almighty God.
But, there's something else that makes America so successful. It's the American people's grit and determination to not give up. To keep going, keep on fighting, and, most importantly, to believe that anything is possible. Think about it, we just don't know how to give up.
We're kind of like the country boy who was speeding down a country road in his home made jalopy when, all of a sudden, he passes a couple of auto execs coming the other way. They can't believe what they've just seen. So, they turn around to catch him. Finally, the country boy pulls off on a side road and stops in front of an old farm house. When he steps out of his home made car he's not wearing shoes, or a shirt, his bib overalls open on the sides. They come to him amazed.
auto execs: "Just where did you get this car?"
country boy: "I made it."
auto execs: "Well, just what kind of fuel does it run on?"
country boy: "I dunno...something my pappy made up."
auto execs: "Yeah, but what kind of gas mileage do you get?"
country boy: "About 75 miles."
auto execs: "No, not to the tank, to a gallon."
country boy: "That is to a gallon."
auto execs screamed back: "75 miles to the gallon, that's impossible."
The country boy got real quiet and answered back almost apologetically, "Gosh fellas, I'm sorry, I didn't know that."
And that's the way we are here in America today. We just don' t know something's impossible, because over the years those before us have set a tone, and ideal, a belief...that...anything's possible. That's why so many great discoveries and inventions that effect the entire world are developed and made...right here in America.
