"This is what the Lord says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, and ask where the good way is, and walk in it. You will find rest for your soul."
Jeremiah 6:16 NIV
“Do You Feel Like Quitting?”
By Jerry Stewart - Vision Productions As we fight to keep America on track as a nation of high character and moral integrity, some are losing their will to keep fighting. But what should we do?
We all know the song “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”; the words were written by Harriet Beecher Stowe and it was first printed in February of 1862. It quickly became a song that was sung around the battle campfires by both the Union and the Confederate armies; it was a powerful source of inspiration.
But have you ever heard that 4th verse? Look at the words:
“He has sounded forth and trumpet that shall never call retreat.
He is sifting out the hearts of men before his judgment seat.
Oh be quick my soul to answer Him, be jubilant my feet.
Our God is marching on!”
Does God want us to quit the fight? Does He want us to just give up and stop trying? No! He wants us to remember his promise to us, “If God be with you, who can stand against you”
.
He wants us to work as if everything depends on us, and to pray as if everything depends on Him.
You see we must keep fighting and never stop believing.
