"This is what the Lord says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, and ask where the good way is, and walk in it. You will find rest for your soul."
Jeremiah 6:16 NIV
"The Other Rider"
By Jerry Stewart - Vision Productions We all know the name Paul Revere. He made that famous midnight ride warning the colonists that the British were coming. But there was someone else riding that night.
On April 27, 1777 Patriot Paul Revere made his famous midnight ride to alert the colonists that the British were coming. But did you know that after riding only 10 miles he was captured?
So who warned the people?
Well, that night there was another rider, a 16-year-old who rode all night long, over 40 miles, spreading the all important word.
Who was this teenager who covered more ground that night than Paul Revere?
Her name was Sybil Ludington.
I thank God for our brave women in history.
